Shorebirds
dark long-legged silken kisses
–old spinners’ beatitudes
new friendships with things
— reviews without rooms
craters sized like cantaloupes
–juicy lines not for turning
clouds of least knowable things
— fill corners of pink mouths
tethered hearts sing for mercy
–subterfuge yet unrequitable
voices sound over simple effects
— sentences ripple the rain
infinite, indifferent sunflowers
–imagined divinations start
clicked, cloned surface tensions
— defy decoyed accessories
hometown scars refine moments
–inroads remain luminous
shorebirds line up along the coast
–ready, waiting for anything
. . . . .
