Observations

Old heathen rhapsodies
sing of worlds becoming

Silent devotionals perform
legendary resurrections

Fire-keeper generations
eat bread dipped in honey

Expectations of light meet
dreams of marsh wrens

Wayfarers create fleeting
arrays in neighbors’ gardens

Sequential covenants split
open, break up, blend again

Numberless human hearts
conflict only with themselves

Opuses from outer space
relentlessly land upon us all

Poets endlessly process
the wildest arts of dreams

Illumined butterfly effects
our only holy windows
