Paintings and prints
manifest feminist sensibilities,
modes of perception —
though some doubt an essential
female consciousness.
They argue only social realities
shape or determine us.
Many works in this exhibition
reflect the social roles
as places ordered by patriarchy,
though certain pieces
question such representations.
These are perhaps
the most revealing.
