voiceless victim

Sandra “Sandy” Scheuer  (11 aug 1949 –  4 may 1970) @ Kent State University, Portage County, Ohio, USA

Sandy was “…an honors student in speech therapy, [who] did not take part in any of the demonstrations…”

[Tragically,] “she was killed when the bullet struck her in the throat while she was walking to her next class.”

During the Vietnam War, the U.S. split into two:  those who opposed the war and those who supported it.

The tragic irony of the senseless death by gunshot to the throat of an aspiring speech therapy student…

one who had not even raised her voice in protest of unjust war — yet still one unjustly killed unwittingly.

May all those who give or lose their lives in any kinds of wars be freed from fear, death — and ignorance.
