…in her own words
Most girls in the 60s and 70s
were told no. They had a stop sign
put up in front of them. Growing up
in Toledo we always had season
tickets – complete sports immersion.
I loved sports, I played sports – well –
and could not get enough of them.
I was also a news junkie – couldn’t
wait to read the sports section
in the newspapers. So I grew up
in Ohio loving and playing sports —
and I kept right on growing.
